Why this matters
Under HTM 07-01, every service must formally identify and classify its clinical waste streams. Care homes, children's homes and supported living services routinely produce infectious waste, sharps and medicines waste. Assuming you produce none is a common compliance gap — soiled dressings and continence products alone qualify.
